Accompong Maroon Festival in St. Elizabeth – January 6th
This festival marks the Maroon’s victory in battle led by their hero Cudjoe, against the British colonial army, resulting in a peace treaty that is over 270 years old. This is a cultural experience with traditional music, dance, storytelling, food and more.

The Jamaica Golf Open at Montego Bay – January 11-14
The event includes an 18-hole pro-am and 54-hole stroke play tournament where golf professionals from the US, Canada, Europe, Latin/South America and the Caribbean compete for the Jamaica Open trophy and cash prize. REBEL SALUTE Grizzly’s Plantation Cove, St. Ann - January 13-14

High Mountain Coffee 10K Race, Williamsfield Manchester - January 29
This is the 34th annual High Mountain Coffee 10K and 5k runs on rugged terrain, at an altitude of 366 meters. The 5K walk is open to everyone and is in aid of Manchester Hospital.
