Acrylic on cedar wood, 17x61 cm
Born in 1971 Alphanso Blake, like most artists had from childhood a sense of calling to be an artist. He began working in oils and has since transitioned to acrylics, which he uses almost exclusively. From the hills of St. Andrew where he lives and works, Alphanso draws inspiration from the sheer beauty of this location. Talent, dedication and perseverance aptly describe Alphonso’s virtues, who as on numerous occasions successfully staged both group and solo exhibitions in Jamaica and abroad.
