Webster Campbell

Born in Craighead, Manchester, Webster Campbell is a graduate of the Edna Manely School of the Visual and Performing Arts.  He is a well-known painter, who is known doe his work that captures hold houses, landscapes, historical paintings, portraits and a myriad of artistic interpretations.

In 1986, Campbell entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JUDC) National Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition, where he won gold for his painting Flood Victim.  He held his first solo show in 1994 entitled, “In the Old Days,” featuring paintings of old Jamaican architecture, with follow-up shows in 1996 onwards.  His most recent shows were in 2012 and 2013, where he exhibited at the Art Society in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and at the Jamaican Embassy in Washington D.C. USA.

Campbell’s works are in private and public collections all over the world and can be seen at the Olympia Art Centre, Bank of Jamaica, and Scotia Bank among others.
